Wagon Train Idea (No, not the episode.)

I would like to see the guys on a wagon train during the time that settlers began to move west and faced all sorts of dangers and hardships along the way. Chris would be the wagon master (of course), Vin would be the scout (and Chris's brother perhaps), Buck would be a combination of assistant wagon master/scout, Ezra would be a gambler fleeing the long arm of the law for one reason or another, JD would be a greenhorn going west to find a new life. I'm not sure about the roles for Josiah or Nathan. Chris and Buck would be 30 - 35, Ezra mid-20's, Vin early 20's, and JD 18 - 20.
